Healthy Tip

What are you really being sold? Label terminology defined.
The FDA regulates the terminology permitted on food labels. If a food doesn't meet the criteria for a low- or reduced calorie product, the package should have a statement to that effect and direct your attention to the nutrition panel for details. Here are some terms you are likely to see:

FAT
Fat Free: Fewer than 0.5 grams of fat per serving.
Low Fat: Must have 3 grams or less of fat per serving.
Reduced or Less Fat: At least 25 percent less fat per serving than a reference food (usually a full fat version).
Low Saturated Fat: 1 gram or less saturated fat per serving; not more than 15 percent of calories from saturated fat.
Reduced or Less Saturated Fat: At least 25 percent less saturated fat per serving than a high saturated fat food.

CALORIES
Calorie Free: Fewer than 5 calories per serving.
Low Calorie: 40 calories or fewer per serving.
Reduced or Fewer Calories: At least 25 percent fewer calories than a reference food.

SUGAR
Sugar Free: Fewer than 0.5 grams of sugar per serving.
No Added Sugar, Without Added Sugar, No Sugar Added: Means no sugars are added during processing or packing, including ingredients that contain sugar (such as fruit juices, applesauce, or dried fruit); processing does not increase sugar content above the amount naturally present in the ingredients.

Q & A

Question: I am currently following a low carb/high protein diet. I have been taking ALL ONE and would like to continue using it as my multivitamin and mineral. What is the carb content of your powders? Would one be better to use then the other?
Answer: It is important when you are following a restricted diet that you take a multivitamin and mineral to be sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. ALL ONE is a great option.
The powder with the highest protein content and lowest carbs is the Original Formula, with 7 grams of protein from milk and 2 grams of carbohydrate. If dairy consumption is a problem for you your next option is the Rice Base, which has 4 grams of protein and 4 grams of carbohydrate.

Testimonials

"I love ALL ONE Green Phyto Base Powder! I take it first thing in the morning and find that it sustains my energy and keeps me nourished throughout the day. I teach 20 sessions of yoga a week plus I do my own Yoga practice and ALL ONE supports me in living my active lifestyle to the fullest in a healthy and balanced way. Thank you ALL ONE!"

"During pregnancy many women experience nausea that makes eating a balanced diet as well as taking traditional supplement tablets unpalatable, With ALL ONE moms are able to easily take and assimilate the vital nutrients required for their growing babies. The first trimester of pregnancy can be dominated by low nutrient 'white' foods, such as breads, pasta and cottage cheese. That is one of the reasons why I recommend the Green Phyto Base in particular to give mom's some of the essential 'green' nutrients they may be missing out on. To help bump up the key nutrients that are needed during pregnancy I suggest the ALL ONE Calcium Complex and an additional Folic Acid supplement. I have also found that ALL ONE Totally Fiber Complex is ideal for the relief of pregnancy related constipation."
